Painted Soul Tattoos was looking to revitalize their old website, bringing fresh new looks and functionalities. Their new website is built upon the Laravel framework with their frontend mimicking their recent store design. Customers can easily navigate the site, viewing each artist’s profile and their recent works.

Challenges

Most tattoo portfolios require the artist to routinely upload their recent works on their website. Instagram has become a popular medium for artists to instantly share their work and keep their followers up to date. Using an automated set of scripts, Painted Soul’s website automatically downloads any picture of a completed tattoo that they have posted to their Instagram profile. To avoid uploading unwanted pictures, artists have to post a tattoo with a specific hashtag to signal for the website target that image. This saves the artists at Painted Soul hours of time, and keeps content automatically up to date on the website with zero human interaction.
